VINYL LAMINATION , Gravure Lamination inks are Vinyl system based Gravure Printing Ink suitable for reverse and lamination application.These have been carefully formulated to offer sharp printability for solid as well as halftone jobs on all types of polyester films at varying press speeds. Good adhesive lamination characteristics are in-built in these inks to make them suitable for lamination with polyethylene film, Aluminium foil, paper and Metallized film to satisfy the needs of variety of packaging applications. SUBSTRATE
PET STAR inks offer good adhesion on all types of Untreated , Treated and Chemically coated PET films with surface energy 42-56 dynes and are recommended for reverse printing jobs. These inks are not suitable for surface printing since the gloss and scratch resistance will be unacceptable. This can also be used for BOPP films with surface energy 38-42 dynes by mixing with about 6% additive. But there will be a significant change in solvent retention characteristics , which customer has to ascertain prior to print run.

LAMINATION
These inks are Suitable for adhesive lamination with both solvent less and solvent based adhesives. It can be laminated with Polythene film , Aluminium Foil ,Paper and Metallized PET and Metallized BOPP films. Lamination peel strength is dependent on adhesive used, adhesive coating weight, substrates laminated , lamination conditions and to some extent nature of the job. It is, therefore, advisable that proper adhesive is selected and its coating weight is controlled suitably in order to get best lamination results.
