MAC SHRINK STAR inks are gravure printing inks, specially formulated for Shrink sleeve packaging application and normally used for reverse printing of shrinkable PVC Film labels .The specially selected solvents and resin system make the SHRINK inks user friendly for end use application. Salient features are :

• Good water resistance on treated substrates.
• Acceptable crinkle and scratch resistance.
• Excellent resolubility.
• Good printability
• Stable rheology during printing.
• Excellent reproduction of halftone even at high speed.
• Good solvent release , quick drying and excellent block resistance.

SUBSTRATE
Mono axially oriented PVC films are normally used for Shrink sleeve application. Such films can be printed with SHRINK STAR inks. Print quality can vary with grade of PVC and press condition.

INK REDUCTION
Mixture of Ethyl acetate, Toluene and IPA is used most widely to thin down SHRINK inks. To make the ink drying faster, higher percentage of ethyl acetate is recommended. The retarder is Ethoxy Propanol or PGMME (Propylene glycol mono methyl ether).
